The bottom line is whilst Triad is relatively small, there’s huge opportunity for individuals to join us and become the authority in their area, building, or extending their career off the back of it.

Within the private sector we’re working within Financial Services, Utilities and the Automotive Industry and are continually expanding our portfolio of success into other markets.
Within the public sector, we’re engaged on some of the largest programmes in central government within the Home Office, Ministry of Justice, Department for Transport, Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs.
Our default approach with all our assignments is to create user centred solutions, using Agile methods and DevOps practices.
We provide User Researchers, Content Designers, Visual Designers and Interaction Designers, Technical Architects, Solutions Architects, Business Architects, Automated Test Engineers, Front End Developers, Back End Developers, Full Stack Developers, Business Analysts, Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches so there really is no limit to what you could get involved with. We form Agile teams that deliver to the Government Digital Services Manual which is a blueprint for Agile delivery and focuses teams on really understanding the user needs before embarking on costly development. We take this approach and apply it to the private sector clients we work with to great effect, marrying the motivation and momentum of private enterprise with the rigour and discipline of the public sector.
Triad maintain 2 offices (Godalming and Milton Keynes) but as consultants, we spend a lot, if not all of our time on the client site. Most of our clients are currently based in the south east and easily commutable from either location.
Triad are a Software and Solutions Provider which means we're consultants, passionate about defining, designing and delivering bespoke software to meet the bespoke needs of our clients. We don't plug together and resell off the shelf packages and leave our clients with inflexible, short term solutions, we get to know our clients business, the end users, the challenges they face, and we serve to understand the opportunities and the business case for IT. Then we start to define and develop a solution.
What this means in reality is that we spend a lot, if not all of our time on the client site working closely with them, in Agile teams, using Agile methods to deliver benefits in an iterative, collaborative way.

To support that we are seeking individuals who are able to locate themselves for short periods of time in other parts of the country, establishing a local presence. This presents opportunities to candidates who wish to spearhead new business and take a lead regionally. That said, most of our clients are currently based in the south east and easily commutable from either location.
Collaboration and co-location are key traits of our success in Agile environments and we believe that face to face is the best way to communicate with our clients. That said, maintaining a good work-life balance is important to us and we understand when individuals need flexibility due to commitments outside of work.
Whether you need a work from home day as a break from the daily commute, have family or personal commitments to tend to or are involved in volunteer or charity work, all we ask is that you agree with your team how best to support their objectives whilst also supporting Triad’s internal goals to learn, share and evolve.
Once per year we conduct a performance appraisal process where we draw on the experiences, successes, and challenges that you’ve faced, soliciting feedback from clients and internal staff and agree actions for the next year in typical retrospective fashion. This forms the basis of your remuneration and any performance related elements as reward for your commitment and dedication to delivering quality solutions.

Consultancies make their money from selling expertise. It’s quite simple, the more experience required by the client, the greater the premium so it’s in our interests to not only have a balanced team of consultants that deliver the full spectrum of IT change, but to grow our individuals. In order to grow, we need to move into new areas of technology which means we actively encourage individuals to learn new skills and become the subject matter expert in that area.
In terms of career progression, the great thing about a consultancy is that you get to build your career in the way you want to build it. If you’re interested in moving from hands-on development, through technical architecture to solution design that’s fine, we’ll find clients that need Solution Designers. Triad recently celebrated its 30th year, employs less than 60 employees but has a turnover in excess of £25 million. How do we do this?
People ask me why I have worked for Triad for so long. Well, the people are great, the projects are exciting, and challenging. I have had so many opportunities to work on different kinds of projects in different roles. It has been a great experience.

I'm glad I took the plunge and joined Triad, as over the past two years, Triad has been great at supporting me by sending me on training courses when I needed it, and the breadth of experience of my colleagues means there's usually someone who's seen it before.
