Triad supports Justice Digital’s Service Transition and Integration Management

Justice Digital is the digital, data and technology function of the Ministry of Justice (MoJ). It delivers and runs critical digital services that support courts, tribunals, prisons, probation and wider justice agencies.
  • Justice Digital’s Service Transition Team oversees around 50 active service transitions from delivery into business as usual.
  • They manage a high volume of concurrent transitions using long standing legacy platforms, whilst balancing delivery pace with operational stability. The LCF Delivery Unit is responsible for ensuring compliance with the SAF Mandate.
  • Triad was asked to help manage the service transition process and provide early ownership, governance, operational readiness and effective stakeholder engagement.
  • 1
Taking ownership of transitions at an early stage, we managed governance with a broad range of stakeholders and followed operational, technical, security, and support requirements before approval to go live.
  • 2
We functioned as a trusted bridge between delivery teams, service owners, technical leads, suppliers and operational support teams, whilst actively removing blockers.
  • 3
We contributed to the development of Service Transition guidance and policies and identified opportunities to strengthen consistency and maturity across the function.
  • We successfully led and assured a broad, complex portfolio of service transitions.
  • Our approach created strong governance, clarity of ownership and proactive risk management.
  • We reduced delays and rework by addressing readiness gaps earlier in the transition.
  • By embedding best practice Service Transition standards within a maturing organisation, we improved consistency and repeatability for future change.

Their story

Justice Digital’s Service Transition Team provides assurance that new and changed digital services are safe, ready and sustainable before entering live operation. Triad was asked to help manage the service transition process.
Early engagement and transition assessment

We took ownership of transitions at an early stage, working closely with delivery teams to understand service scope, timelines, dependencies, and operational impact.

Service readiness and assurance leadership

We led end to end readiness assurance using Service Acceptance Criteria, Early Life Support planning, and formal Service Readiness Reviews. This enabled a confident, controlled transition to business as usual

Governance, control and consistency

We embedded clear transition governance to provide transparency across the transition portfolio and support prioritisation and resource planning within a high pressure environment

Continuous improvement and team contribution

We contributed to the maturity of the Service Transition function by adding value to their guidance, policies, local work instructions, and team charter

“I greatly valued Triad’s involvement in the MoJ service transition during this assignment.
Triad provided strong support across a complex portfolio, bringing pace, professionalism, collaboration, and a continuous improvement mindset that added real value to the team.”
