Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Software Engineer with a strong foundation in Ruby on Rails and modern web technologies. This role involves end-to-end software development—from designing robust, scalable solutions to implementing secure, production-ready code. The ideal candidate will bring experience across multiple languages and frameworks, contribute to architectural decisions, and champion best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture & Design

• Design scalable, concurrent solutions in distributed environments.
• Drive architectural decisions aligned with system requirements and team capabilities.
• Orchestrate technical refinement processes, ensuring shared understanding and alignment across developers.
• Break down complex requirements into well-defined tasks and deliverables.

Development

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code with thorough unit test coverage.
• Ensure adherence to software engineering best practices, including SOLID principles and design patterns.
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from ideation to deployment.

Security

• Develop secure architecture in accordance with client requirements and risk assessments.
• Integrate security best practices into software design and implementation.

Skills and Experience:

• Strong experience with Ruby on Rails (essential).
• Proficient in modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React.
• Working knowledge of either C# or Java.
• Familiarity with RESTful microservices architecture and implementation.

• Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, including:
  • Unit testing
  • SOLID principles
  • Common design patterns

• Ability to communicate and align technical vision across a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage priorities effectively.
• A collaborative mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality, secure, and maintainable software.

Qualifications & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years Ruby development experience.

Our Selection Process

After applying for the role, our in-house talent team will contact you to discuss Triad and the position. If shortlisted, you will be invited for:

1. A Technical online test – circa 30 minutes
2. A Technical interview session with our senior team members
3. An interview with our CTO, including a career review and cultural fit assessment.

We aim to complete interviews and progress candidates to offer stage within 2-3 weeks of the initial conversation.
