Technology insights newsletter - November

The end of the year is fast approaching and I for one will welcome a few days break with friends and family. This will be our final newsletter before Christmas.

In it, you can read about seasoned consultant Chris Blake's view on SharePoint and my very personal take on three major blockers holding back public service transformation. We also have news on our first ever Carbon Reduction Plan (plot spoiler, we now have one) alongside the news that we made it to the Surrey Business Awards. The judges were impressed by the work that we have done this year in both the public and private sectors, delighting customers and delivering cutting-edge technology and, I'd like to extend my thanks to all of team Triad for the part they have played in this.

I hope that you all have a wonderful Christmas and enjoy some time with your families.

Best wishes,

Adrian Leer, Managing Director

Carbon Reduction Plan

From the 30th of September, all companies bidding for government contracts worth more than £5million a year must commit to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050. Triad is no exception; a link to our Carbon Reduction Plan can be found on the Triad website footer next to our terms of service and the sitemap. So please take a look.

These new requirements came ahead of COP26, where officials encouraged other countries to follow suit. The UK is the first country in the world to put such a measure in place.

Triad recognised at the Surrey Business Awards

Triad were shortlisted for the Large Business Award at last week’s Surrey Business Awards. Although we didn’t win, the nomination demonstrates the progress that we have made despite the Covid pandemic and at a time when half of our staff are new to the business.

Our entry centred on the work we have done to focus on our 5 pillars; excellent customer service, brilliant people, outstanding processes, stimulating environment, and first-rate finances. The judges were impressed by our approach to projects for clients in both the public and private sectors and our ability to delight customers whilst delivering cutting-edge technology.
