Triad’s Ngozi Efedje explains why her job is about solving problems and what has kept her at Triad for 26 years.
How would you describe your role?
My role as a delivery manager is to ensure that we deliver a product within the given timescale. My goal is to ensure that our delivery is as smooth as possible and that we work efficiently to deliver a product that meets our client’s needs.
What do you most enjoy about your role?
I like solving problems – every project has a problem that needs to be solved. I enjoy it when we can overcome our challenges. I also enjoy seeing the product we have delivered being used; it is very rewarding. The role comes with a lot of pressure, especially when there is a priority 1 issue that must be resolved as soon as possible, which was the case when I started on my current client project. On day 1, there was a priority 1 issue, and it was my job as the new delivery manager to sort it out! That’s the way it is. I enjoy that.
The goal of Triad is to transform through technology. Since working for Triad, how have you helped make people’s lives better through technology?
I have worked for Triad for a very long time—26 years, to be precise. Over the years, I have worked on several projects that have transformed the way our clients work, as well as improved their customers’ experience – making processes more efficient by automating them; working on mission critical products relating to FX market data; transforming the UK criminal justice system; improving information governance, the list goes on.
What’s your superpower?
I’m still determining if I have any superpower. I work hard, and I’m focused on delivering the best for our clients.
Marketing spin aside, what do you think makes Triad different from other IT Consultancies?
Triad truly cares about our client’s needs and transforming how they work through technology. We keep it simple; we work hard, we are flexible and are willing to go that extra mile. And I think that’s what I enjoy most about working for Triad. They truly care about their staff. Everyone is approachable and very supportive.
It is unusual to stay at a company for so long, why have you stuck with Triad?
Even though I’ve been with Triad for quite a while, it’s been far from a monotonous journey. I’ve had the chance to work on a range of fascinating projects, take on different roles, and collaborate with various client organisations spanning diverse industries. It’s what’s kept my time here interesting and ever evolving.
