A day in my life, by Naheed Vyas

How would you describe your role?

As a Delivery Manager, it is my job to ensure that the projects I am working on are delivered successfully and that the client is happy.

What do you most enjoy about your role?

Everything. However, if I had to pick one thing, it would be the times when it gets really challenging. Resolving issues and navigating tight deadlines, that is when the pressure is on to problem solve and ensure that nothing is compromised when it comes to the project delivery.

What are the three non-negotiable behaviours that you ask for from your colleagues?

Oooh. Just three? (Laughs). Well, honesty is important because that is essential for building and maintaining a high degree of trust. Passion is important, though it is also something that I find in bucket loads at Triad, where I am collaborating with subject specialists who really care about what they do. And a third would be the ability to work as a team. Individual skills and talent can only take us so far. Where we can often make a significant difference is by combining our insights and experiences to overcome the project’s biggest challenges.

What is your superpower?

I like collaborating with people. I enjoy seeing a team united with a shared vision and goal. It motivates me.

Marketing spin aside, what do you think makes Triad different from other IT consultancies?

It is a family-orientated business. We are growing quickly, but the business has maintained its core strength of looking out for one another. Everyone at Triad is approachable, regardless of their seniority. You do not feel like a small fish in a big pond. At Triad, we are all valued, and we are all important. I really believe that.
