Senior Software Development Engineer in Test

Location: Triad offices (Godalming or Milton Keynes) and client sites/remote working.

Salary: £50,000- £65,000 per annum with company benefits.

Mandatory skills required:

• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Previous management of a small test function (experience of leading teams of 2+ test analysts).
• In-depth knowledge and experience in developing tests using a BDD approach and Gherkin/Cucumber.
• A full understanding of testing techniques and tools used for automated functional and non-functional testing.
• In-depth knowledge and experience developing automated tests for web-based systems.
• Knowledge and experience of continuous integration tools such as Jenkins.
• Experience of working within Agile teams.
• A good understanding of defining and executing Load Tests (with for example JMeter).
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
• Knowledge and experience of Linux.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in scaling test automation using Cloud-based testing (e.g., SauceLabs, BrowserStack).
• Experience in testing micro services (exposure to WireMock).
• Previous consulting experience, business development experience or thought leadership experience as a contributor to open source or forum-based communities.

As a new Triad consultant, you will join an established team of c. 60 fee-earning consultants who specialise in Agile Coaching, Delivery Management, Business Analysis and Software Development.

We require a self-starter with both hands-on testing knowledge and experience leading others in a QA capacity. The successful candidate will be highly confident in their field of expertise but equally excited about opportunities to learn a new discipline and contribute to areas of business they may not have been exposed to in the past.

Travel costs to the client site (e.g., Central London), and parking fees are typically reimbursed. Although most of our clients are in the London area, you will be expected to be available to travel to client sites within the south-east and more widely within the UK where necessary.
