The UK operations division supporting the design and running of a global bank’s infrastructure for one of the UKs leading personal financial services company.

The challenge

This part of the client’s organisation specialises in the continuous design and operation of IT infrastructures, providing guaranteed high availability 24x7x365 to millions of customers. The client has had a long-standing need for a reliable source of skilled, resilient technology professionals who can integrate seamlessly within this large, highly regulated, multi-disciplinary environment.

The solution

The Solution

Triad has been a Tier 1 supplier to the bank for several years, providing over 200 plus staff across the spectrum of IT operations and support disciplines, including management roles. Most of the staff are provided as non-permanent resources but Triad has used its intimate understanding of the bank’s needs and culture to provide permanent resources too, such as Head of Service Desk, improving the bank’s own digital capability.

The demands of a regulated banking environment have required our staff to work in very high volume transaction processing environments where security and availability are of paramount importance. This includes providing senior Application Support Management for internal environments such as the bank’s Global Banking and Markets Trade Floor.

Triad assisted the client in establishing several service desks, for example including for their core banking platform and their ATM environment. Other roles included change, incident and problem managers. Many of these roles required specialist skills with a particular emphasis on banking systems knowledge.

In London we created the bank’s VIP Support Team, designed around the IT needs of senior executives.
